The CPF gives Members of the Party the opportunity to take part in policy discussions and get their voice heard.
The CPF is a national Party Group that gives Members the opportunity to discuss the major policy challenges facing Britain. The CPF is chaired by Oliver Letwin, Minister for Government Policy. CPF groups are active in Constituencies in every Region and Area. In the constituency of Great Grimsby, the CPF is chaired by Klaus Kushmierski.
We want you to think as widely and as deeply as possible. So, for example, looking at the changes in technology and innovation: what will those changes be, where will they come from, what will be their positive effects, and what will be their negative effects?
The CPF Programme
Three areas vital for development for the 2015 manifesto:
- Productivity;
- Demographic ageing; and
- the Cities, Towns and Villages of the Future.
We will be using this list as a basis for our discussion topics this year. But it is important that CPF members think as widely as possible – don’t be restricted to these topics; they’re a steer to help you get started!
Any papers submitted, whether on a topic set centrally or a topic decided by the Great Grimsby CPF, will be logged centrally and found a home – perhaps with the relevant Conservative Minister or an expert member of one of our Sectoral Groups. In every case, it will be read!
How can you get involved?
By joining the Great Grimsby CPF group you will be able to contribute to these discussions. We are also encouraging the CPF to take their discussions out to local communities who are directly affected by the policies we are going to be discussing. The CPF are planning an exciting programme for the future with more opportunities for new Members to meet with MPs to discuss Party Policy.
